  • What’s your baby’s weight, height and age?
  • Does your car have ISOFIX connectors?
  • Does your car have a top-tether point?
  • What vehicle do you have, and how many seats does the vehicle have?
  • Will you have any other car seats in your vehicle?
  • Will you be using the car seat in any other vehicles?

Yes, our team is familiar with all car seat standards – European R44, R129, USA Standard/S-Mark, and AS/NZ 1754 standard. We will happily check the fit of your car seat in your vehicle if you can provide the instruction manual of the car seat. Please note, as you did not purchase the car seat from us, we cannot guarantee the car seat is compatible to fit into your vehicle.

As per New Zealand's best practice guidelines, children should remain rear-facing for as long as possible. The recommended limits for rear-facing vary between different brands and models of car seats, so always refer to your car seat manual for specific guidance on your car seat.

ISOFIX (Europe) or LATCH (USA) is an alternative system to secure child restraints without using a traditional safety belt. Found in most modern vehicles, these systems utilise lower anchors located in the vehicles seat base, allowing the child restraint to be clicked into place rather than belted in. This involves rigid bars anchored to the vehicle, enabling the ISOFIX restraint to connect directly to these bars.

To find out if your vehicle has ISOFIX points, look between your back seats. Sometimes the fitting points are visible, while other times they have shorter stalks, making them tricky to locate quickly. To confirm if your vehicle has ISOFIX, check your vehicle’s manual.

For your child's safety and your peace of mind, it’s recommended to replace the car seat after a moderate to severe accident. Even if there is no visible damage, the integrity and safety of the seat may be compromised as damage is not always visible.
