Products displayed on this site can be purchased using secure online Mastercard, Visa, American Express, apple pay, google pay, shop pay and After-pay.

We also accept Bank Deposit (direct credit from your bank account). Please note: if payment is not received within 10 business days, Bank Deposit orders may be automatically cancelled.

 

Our new rental scheme has a subscription format for an easier way to pay with recurring monthly credit card charges. 

Layby

Layby payment options are not available for online purchases made at babycity.co.nz.

 

If you have found an item/s on babycity.co.nz that you wish to layby, this payment option is available in-store, over the phone, or via email (excluding online only specials). Please refer to the store locator to find your local babycity® store — please note: in-store and online specials may vary.

 

babycity® In-store Layby Terms and Conditions

  • Availability: Laybys are available as a payment option in-store, over the phone, or via email.
  • Minimum deposit: 10% deposit of the full value of the goods is required.
  • Minimum Layby value: $20.00.
  • Layby terms:
    • Up to $300 are valid for six weeks;
    • $301-$500 are valid for eight weeks;
    • $501-$800 are valid for ten weeks;
    • $801+ are valid for twelve weeks.
  • Payment methods: Direct credit, major credit card, EFTPOS, or cash.
  • Cancellation:
    • You may cancel your layby at any time before taking possession of the goods.
    • If you cancel, all amounts paid will be refunded less our Layby service fee and cancellation fee.
  • Service Fee: A $10.00 non-refundable service fee applies to each layby agreement
  • Cancellation Fee (if charged): If you cancel your layby, a cancellation fee of 20% of Total Amount applies.
  • Overdue Fee (if charged): If your Layby is not paid in full by the Due Date then an additional fee of 10% of Total Amount is payable.

babycity.co.nz requires full payment for products at the time of purchase.

 

Afterpay

In-store and online

Split your payment into 4 instalments

Pay for your purchase over 4 instalments, due every two weeks.
You'll pay your first instalment at the time of purchase, and the remainder over time.

No fees when you pay on time

With interest-free instalments, the only fees you pay are late payments. You can find your payment schedule in the Afterpay app and you'll be sent regular reminders.

Choosing Afterpay

  1. Simply add items to your cart and go to checkout as normal
  2. Select Afterpay as your payment option at checkout. Orders up to $2000 are eligible to use Afterpay
  3. You will be redirected to the Afterpay website
  4. If it's your first time, create an Afterpay account or simply login
  5. Enter or verify your payment details to confirm your order

To pay with Afterpay, all you need is:

  1. A New Zealand credit card or debit card
  2. To be over 18 years of age
  3. A New Zealand residential address
  4. You'll know you've been approved within seconds

Please Note

The funds for your first payment must be available on your chosen card at the time of checkout.

If you fail to make a payment, you'll be charged a late payment fee of $10, with a further $7 fee added 7 days later, if the payment is still unpaid. For more information visit Afterpay here
